Developed by Lightstone, 130 William is designed by the award-winning visionary architect Sir David Adjaye. Named one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people of 2017, Adjaye is internationally recognized as one of contemporary architecture’s most inventive designers. His firm’s diverse portfolio ranges from libraries and university campuses to private homes and special residential projects. Adjaye Associates’ largest commission to date in the U.S. — arguably the most prestigious new building in the country — is the Smithsonian Institute National Museum of African American History and Culture on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Adjaye was announced the winner of the 2021 RIBA Royal Gold Medal. Personally approved by Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Gold Medal is considered one of the highest honors in British architecture for significant contribution to the field internationally.
